Flourite minerals have found wide use in three major industries of iron and steel, chemcals and building materials due to their excellent physicochemical properties. In recent years, chemical industry has been their largest consumer, chiefly applying them to manufacturing fluorine chemicals such as hydrofluoric acid and its derivates. Another finished product, a flourine carbon compond, is used much more widely in many fields. Qualities of the mineral materials vary, depending on specifications of each consumer. And much importance should be attached to further developing the mineral resource, because of not only a foreign exchange earning commodity but much development potential in production of flourine chemicals.
