| Abstract: | The concept of flysch as an orogenic facies cannot be applied to all flysch-type deposits without discrimination. The tectonic environment of the Alpine flysch does not represent a unique model. The definition of flysch must accentuate its concrete sedimentary characteristics, without genetic implications. |
