Abstract:Presented are the cartographic models for the present-day and potential vegetation in the key area of Baikalian Siberia which provide a basis for prognostic analysis and synthesis. It is shown that geobotanical forecasting should be treated as a single complicated cartographic process having its logic and structure. Evolutionary-dynamical approach is the most effective tool for solving geobotanical forecasting problems.
