| Abstract: | This paper gives an introduction of the ocean wave observation technology in coastal and ocean engineering,which is applied at and below the sea surface,above the water or in space.Based on the basic measuring theory of various observation facilities,the applicability and limitation of each technology in practical engineering are analyzed.The development trend of ocean wave observation technology is finally discussed and measures to be taken in China are proposed. |
