| Abstract: | We discuss representative cases of X-ray spectra of active stars obtained with ASCA and BeppoSAX. We focus in particular on
our own observations of the RS CVn binaries γ And and UX Ari, of the BY Dra eclipsing binary HD9770, and of the young stars
AB Dor and HD35850.
