Ascidian growth and survival at high inorganic particulate concentrations

Pollution by elevated concentrations of inorganic particulate suspensions may be induced by various non-natural marine operations. Such elevated levels of inorganic particulates reduce the growth rate, and may cause mortality, of the phleobranchiate ascidians Ciona intestinalis L. and Ascidiella scabra (Müller).
