Assessment of Pesticides in Upstate New York Ground Water: Results of a 1985-1987 Sampling Survey

Walker is a senior extension associate at the New York State Water Resources Institute at Cornell University (Cornell University, New York State Water Resources Institute, 468 Hollister Hall, Ithaca, NY 14853-3501). He graduated from the University of Arizona's Department of Hydrologv and Water Resources with an M.S. in 1985. He has worked with Cornell University since 1985 on the issue of pesticides in ground water in New York state.;Keith S. He has held this position since 1986. Prior to 1986, he was extensively involved with the issue of pesticides in ground water. In 1979 he led an extension team in Suaolk County that predicted the occurrence of aldicarb in ground water as a result of normal use on potatoes, Later sampling by Suffolk County and the U S. Environmental Protection Agency uncovered serious contamination as a result of aldicarb applications.
