Abstract: | This article gives a Parliamentary view of how fisheries policy in the European Community may develop now that Europe has a Common Fisheries Policy. The focus should now change from the tension of Council of Ministers meetings to the proper development of the European Commission's executive role and the effective monitoring of the bureaucracy by the democratically elected European Parliament. |
