| Abstract: | In this paper, we first discussed the problems about the calculations, and then, made an analysis on the calculation results for the tangential stress field beneath the lithosphere in China and nearby areas (70°—140°E, 15°—55°N) by the formulas deduced in the last paper (Liu Daizhi, 1988). Finally, its geological application, especially application to earthquake risk zoning, was approached. |
