| Abstract: | Based on the studies of Hardy and Hein, the multiquadric fitting applied to modelling of vertical crustal movements is further investigated in this paper. The involved problems include the chioce of kernel function, the determination of smooth factor and the optimization of the center of kernel function etc.. The investigation presents some conclusions which are valuable for reference in praetieal application. |
