| Abstract: | Through studying the folk place names and ancient place names in the Nanhai Is-lands, the thesis points out that the former representing the monomer of coral reef are parts of the latter representing the colony of coral reef. Both of them set up the place name system of the Nanhai Islands in ancient China,which is a full proof that the Nan-hai Islands are parts of China. |
