萨拉乌苏动物群

目前在萨拉乌苏地区共发现脊椎动物化石４６种，其中哺乳类３４种，鸟类１２种。本文根据新采集到的８０多件化石的出产层位和对前人资料的分析，把全部化石按地层即萨拉乌苏组、城川组和大沟湾组作了统计。并根据地层划分和化石种类的变化，新建立了城川动物群。萨拉乌苏动物群和城川动物群在时代上分别属于晚更新世中期和晚更新世中期之末到晚更新世晚期，代表较暖湿和干冷的气候环境。

ZOOCOENOSIUM IN SARA WUSU

Thus far,some 46 species of vertebrate fossils have been found in the Sara Wusu region,of which 34 species are mammals and 12 species are birds. According to the newly collected more than80 pieces of fossils,their excavated horizons and historical records,a statistics was made to all thesefossils in accordance with Sara Wusu formation, Chengchuan formation and Dagouwan formation.Based on the stratigraphic division and the variations of fossil species, the Chengchuan zoocoenosiumwas established. Judging from the ages,Sara Wusu zoocoenosium and Chengchuan zoocoenosiumrespectively fall into middle period of late Pleistocene and middle-end period to late period of latePleistocene.
