| Abstract: | A procedure is developed to determine the single-scattering albedo from polarization measurements of the angle-dependent intensity at two locations within, or on the boundaries of, a homogeneous finite atmosphere which scatters radiation according to Rayleigh's law with true absorption. The density of the atmosphere need not be known. |
