网格在地理信息系统中的应用

摘    要:当前GIS技术的发展遇到了一些技术瓶颈,如各种异构数据难以兼容、共享导致无法充分表达和利用空间数据,特别是当数字地球概念提出以后,现有的计算机技术无法完成对整个地球空间信息这么庞大的海量数据的处理。WebGIS随着Internet技术的成熟而出现,它试图解决一部分空间数据共享问题,但是由于网络基础体系结构的限制,WebGIS不可能突破上述的技术瓶颈。直到网格的出现,才为从本质上解决空间数据利用及共享问题提供了契机,网格技术也成为解决数字地球问题的最佳途径。

Abstract:The development of GIS meets some bottlenecks. For example, the different structure data can't be compatible with each other, and also can't be easily shared. So, we can't express and make use of spatial data sufficiently. Specially, when the concept of Digital Earth was thrown out by Gore, the problem seems to be more serious because current computer technology can't process entire spatial data of the earth. It is so great capacity data. Web GIS appeared after the development of Internet technology. It tried to solve a part of the problem of spatial data sharing. But limit to the infrastructure, Web GIS can't break through the choke point. As far as the Grid developed, we can get rid of the problem of spatial data sharing and using perfectly, and Grid is also considered to be the best way to solve the problem of Digital Earth.
