| Abstract: | The mineral, grain size, and chemical compositions of bentonites and the cation-exchange capacity of their different genetic varieties are described with an estimation in static conditions of their sorption capacity for Cs and Sr ions. The compositions of betonites of different genetic types are correlated with their sorptive properties. The quantitative data on bentonites are compared with sorptive properties of loam that contains a low montmorillonite admixture. |
