| Abstract: | A perturbation method has been applied for the determination of the frequencies of the linear and adiabatic oscillations of a gaseous polytropic configuration pervaded by a purely toroidal magnetic field. The influence of a toroidal magnetic field on the frequencies of the different types of spheroidal oscillation modes is discussed. |
