| Abstract: | In this paper W e have discussed the variation of the kinetic, potential as well as internal energy, in the layer from 700 mb to 300 mb in the middle latitudes during the period from July 1945 to January 1946. The kinetic energy is separated into two parts: The kinetic energy of the "basic zona.l motion" and the kinetic energy of the "disturbances". It is found that. |
