| Abstract: | The spatial distribution of earthquakes and its relation to the active faults and geophysical fields is applied to divide the potential earthquake sources (PES) in the area of Gansu Province-Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in western China. The method to estimate the upper limit of magnitudes of PES is also proposed. |
