| Abstract: | Assuming that the long waves of sand found in sea beds are generated by stationary internal waves, a simplified analysis is made of their stability. The fluid model considered is two-dimensional and two-layered, with the lower layer stratified due to suspended sediments. Finally, the effect of flow over developed sand waves is studied under homogeneous conditions. |
