Abstract: | Various flow visualization techniques are briefly reviewed, most significantly those using flow streamers and tracers. Special consideration is then given to the dust deposition techniques method that is seldom used but is of particular interest and utility to the physical geographer concerned with fluid flow phenomena. Several examples are provided, using Belgian loess as a tracer, and the advantages and disadvantages of the system are evaluated. The method may also be used in the field.
