摘    要:许多学者早已发现岩体的变形和破坏与试件尺寸有关,即随着试件尺寸增大,其变形模量变小,破坏强度降低。这种现象称为尺寸效应。 近来研究表明,所谓尺寸效应实际上是岩体结构效应和试验技术条件的反映。

Abstract:The rockmass strength of jointed sedimentary rock often shows a distinct scale effect. In fact, it is a reflection of rockmass structure effect. This view has been confirmed by our tests on the pressure-resistance of jointed slates in situ. Moreover, the results from these tests with jointed slate specimens of different size in situ indicate that the pressure-resistence strength of rockmass is distinctly related to the structure bodies numbers in rockmass rather than the size of specimens. Taking into consideration the results of tests and using statistic method, we found that the relationship between the uniaxial compression strength of slate rockmass and the structure bodies number N in test-specimen, can be expressed as δm=24+236N-0.36.
