Abstract: | As the most advanced flow measuringinstrumentin the world today, the Horizontal Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (H-ADCP)is increasingly widely used in rivers due to its outstanding advantages such as high accuracy and fast speed. However, in areas with developed shipping industry, it is difficult to obtain stable and reliable flow velocity data due to the influence of ship waves, which hinders the application and promotion of H-ADCP in plain river network areas. To completely eliminate the influence of ship waves, it is currently difficult to achieve technically. This article applies a H-ADCP to measure flow velocity in plain river network areas and analyzes the impact of ship waves on measurement accuracy. By starting from various aspects such as the selection of H-ADCP equipment, measurement and installation methods, measurement preprocessing, and data post-processing, the impact of ship waves on H-ADCP can be effectively reduced, thereby improving the accuracy of flow measurement. And through experimental measurement of the average flow velocity variation of the cross-section within a day, the flow velocity waveform affected by ship waves was obtained. Then, data processing methods were used to verify the feasibility of the proposed method. |
