| Abstract: | The paper analyses the disadvantages and advantages of the point-oriented digital mapping way, and puts forward the new way which can be both fit the character of field digital mapping and meet the object-oriented requirements of GIS data. The arithmetic transforming the point-oriented digital map into object-oriented GIS data is also discussed. |
