| Abstract: | The global seismicity during the first quarter of the year 1993 was of medium level or slightly lower. An earthquake of intermediate depth registering magnitude 7 occurred in Hokkaido region of Japan. Some strong earthquakes of magnitude 6 or over successively occurred in the western and eastern parts of Japan Sea. The activity in the American seismic belts trends to decrease. Three medium strong earthquakes occurred in Xizang Autonomous Region and Yunnan Province of China. |
