Abstract: | Bjorn Lomborg, the "sceptical environmentalist", argues that anxious environmentalists have got it wrong. The world's environment is basically doing fine, he says, despite the increase in humankind's demands upon it.[11] Indeed, he points to various improvements in environmental conditions achieved in recent decades. However, he is only telling the more superficial part of the story; he fails to explore the less familiar, but troubling, possible consequences of the disruption of Earth's ecological, climatic and other natural systems. |
