| Abstract: | The basin of Fürstenhagen near Kassel—resulting from the leaching of evaporites—contains more than 100 m of sediments of early Pleistocene age, which are spared from erosion. The amount of erosion during the Pleistocene period and the altitude of the early Pleistocene surface can be estimated. |
