Abstract: | Results of simultaneous measurements of the direct solar radiation flux and of the degree of polarization of visible light scattered at the zenith at a different albedo of the underlying surface covered with snow after heavy snowfalls or having no snow cover are analyzed. The possibility of monitoring air turbidity on the basis of polarimetric measurements is confirmed. A procedure of remote detection of the effect of solar light polarization on atmospheric aerosol is proposed and implemented. |
