| Abstract: | On August 16,2003,an earthquake of M 5.9 occurred in Chifeng,the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,resulting heavier losses of life and property.This is the largest earthquake which struck Chifeng in the history of more than 700 years.Some information about the earthquake are outlined,including basic parameters,focal mechanism,damage and casualties,as well as rescue. |
