The improvement of the working environment for a digital seismic network

The construction of a digital seismic network is systems engineering. Any neglect will affect the normal operation of the network. However, there are often many problems cause by th neglect of keeping a good observational environment. During the construction of Guangdong Digital Telemetry Seismograph Network,attention was paid to the improvement of observational environment and many measurements were token, such as mothproof, keeping dry, lightning protection and resistant static electricity. These procedures reduce breakdown times of seismic instrument due to the bad environment and give good experiences to the future construction of network.
