较系统评述了现有的各种命名与判定宝石颜色的方法，如命名法中的二名法、类似法、色度法和三要素法；判定法中的目测法、仪器测量法和对比法。指出它们均存在有不同程度的缺点，但相对比较起来，用色谱图系的对比法是目前较好的方法。

Discussion on the Naming and Identifying Method for Gem's Colour

the paper has systematically set forth the existed different naming and identifying methods for gem's colour. Among the naming methods,they are:double naming, simi-lary method, saturation method and three elements method while among identifying methods, they are; visual measurement, instrument measurement and comparative method. And the paper has also pointed out that they all have a few shortcomings in different degrees. However, relatively speaking, comparative method by using colour spectrum system is the better one up to now.
