Institution: | Michael J. Barcelona;is an adjunct professor and senior research scientist in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Michigan. He received his Ph.D. in marine chemistry/chemical oceanography in 1977 in the Department of Marine Sciences, University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, PR. He was a professor of chemistry at Western Michigan University from 1989 to 1993. From 1979 through 1989 he was section head and principal scientist in the Aquatic Chemistry Section of the Illinois State Water Survey. His research and education interests include geochemical aspects of the in situ remediation technology performance evaluation, environmental analytical chemistry, and spatial and temporal variability in contaminant distributions. Jie Lu;received his M.S. degree in chemistry from Western Michigan University Kalamazoo, MI, 1994. He is currently employed at the University of Illinois-Chicago, College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice, 833 S. Wood St., Room 164, Chicago, IL 60612. Daniel Tomczak;received his M.S. degree in chemistry from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, 1994.
