Abstract:PolInSAR,as a new frontier developed recently in radar remote sensing,has the advantage of PolSAR and InSAR.In the paper we retrieve the elevation height of terrain making use of interferometric,fully polarimetric radar remote sensing L-band data of the Amazon rain forest.Compared with conventional single-polarization,PolInSAR can dramatically improve the interferometric coherences,especially in the vegetation area.Moreover,we roughly estimate the height of the forest using polarimetric SAR data.
