Abstract:The technical characters, the basic principle and the experimental observation of FG5/232 absolute gravimeter are introduced. The results indicate that the standard deviation is under ±2×10 -8 ms -2 satisfying the requirement for high precision measurement in earthquake monitoring.It is suggested that the reasonable set number and set drop number are about 13-15 and 100 respectively in general.
