Abstract: | Long-term investigations in the Ushkovsky Volcano caldera were completed in June 1998 using deep drilling of the crater glacier filling the Gorshkov summit cone. A 212-m ice core containing 354 bands of volcanic ash was obtained. The possibility of using an analysis of these data in paleovolcanic reconstructions of the northern volcano group is discussed. |
