Abstract: | Summary Victimisation surveys have revealed that high crime rate areas not only have a high rate of victim prevalence, but that a small proportion of the victims may experience more than half of the crime reported. This paper examines how the prevalence and concentration of victimisation influence the incidence rate in a low crime rate area. |
