| Abstract: | An AEL-1 wind direction and speed apparatus is composed of a sensor of wind direction and wind speed, an input pretreatment circuit, a date-producer, a data-eolleeter and processor, and a printer. The apparatus can automaticaUy determine eight or sixteen wind directions and wind velocity, and print out processed results with date. Controlled by a microprocessor the apparatus measures wind direction every two and a half minutes, and wind velocity every ten minutes and computes and prints out dominant wind directions with wind velocities and a mean wind velocity every hour. The apparatus can also work as users required in widely daily wind observation and studies. |
