| Abstract: | From a discussion of narrow-band observations of Zeta Aurigae in the 1963–64 eclipse, the duration of totality has been precisely found to be  36.901 days, which is appreciably smaller than the value 37.48 days currently used. The present result reveals that a hypothesis of gradual expansion of the K-type supergiant component could not be tenable. |
