Error Analysis of Scanning Digitizing for Chart Spatial Data

This paper firstly introduces the concept of chart spatial data and scanning digitizing, then analyses and compares the error resource of scanning digitizing for chart spatial data,in the end during the testing of scanning digitizing to one chart,scanning digitizing error for obvious man-made surface features is inspected by mean value. The conclusion of the testing is scanning digitizing error may not obey the normal distribution, but more system features are put up. It has a definite significance for farther analyzing error distribution of scanning digitizing for chart spatial data.
