| Abstract: | Fluorine-induced diseases are local diseases which are distributed widely. Fluorine in human bodies is mainly from drinking water, making up 65 percent of the total. Some investigation indicates that incidences of fluorine-induced diseases are closely related to contents of fluorine in drinking water. There are many areas in which drinking water contains more fluorine than usual. To counter this situation that local fluorine-induced diseases are mainly caused by drinking high-fluorine water, preventive measures should be taken: improving the conditions of drinking water, drinking low-fluorine water. Nevertheless, at first investigations on the hydrogeology and epidemiology of a given area must be carried out so as to propose concrete measures of improving drinking water. |
