| Abstract: | Major- and trace-element analyses, accompanied by modal analysesand mineralogical data, are given for thirty-three striped amphibolitesfrom Connemara. It is concluded that prior to metamorphism theserocks were intrusions, lavas or tuffs of sodic basalt composition. |
