A Multi-Purpose Data Processing System for Reference Materials

he system was first developed on a NCR TOWER-1632 computer under UNIX system.The software was successfully transplanted from UNIX to DOS,and its functions andperformances were improved.With pop-up and pulldown menus,windows,list boxes,dialogueboxes,and on-line help system,the software is friend to the users. The DOS versions(Chineseand English)can run under any IBM PC/compatible computers. The presentation includesprograms for homogeneity test,outliers test,distribution test,statistic parameters calculation,derivation of recommended values,histogram,distribution curve,data base management,statistics and data reports. The software has been used for the data processing of severalreference materials which were approved later as primary or secondary reference materials.
