| Abstract: | The scattering and diffraction of plane P waves by circular-arc alluvial valleys with water is studied in this paper.The Fourier-Bessel series expansion technique is used to solve this problem.Numerical results are given,and the surface displacement amplitudes presented show that the results depend on the angle of incidence and the dimensionless frequency of the incident P wave. |
