华北地台区东部晚古生代小有孔虫群落的生态地层学意义

ECOSTRATIGRAPHIC SIGNIFICANCE OF THE LATE PALEOZOIC FORAMINIFERAL COMMUNITIES FROM THE EASTERN NORTH CHINA PLATFORM

For a long time the correlation of the Late Paleozoic strata on the North China Platform has remained unsolved. An attempt at finding a way by the means of ecostratigraphic study to cope with the problem has been made in this paper. It has been identified that to which community do the foraminifera belong,which contained in every layer of limestones developed in Shanxi, Shandong, Liaoning, Henan and Anhui provinces. The ecological background and the chronological sig-nificance of the communites are studied. Based on these results, the relationship of the limestones deposited in different regions in the eastern North China Plat-form are no longer confused.
