| Abstract: | The relativistic transfer equation for polarised radiation is solved in an axisymmetric Bianchi type I universe. Previous
results concerning the linear polarisation induced in the cosmic microwave background radiation by Thomson scattering in an
anisotropically expanding universe are confirmed.
