Distribution of Kashin-Beck Disease in Jiuzhaigou County

Jiuzhaigou is located in the northeast of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. The Kashin-Beck disease is the main endemic disease within the county. This disease is not only harmful to health, but also restricts the development of local social economy. The study indicates that distribution of the Kashin-Beck disease is related to the topography, geomorphology, lithology, soil and vegetation and basin conditions.
