| Abstract: | Summary The electromagnetic equations of Maxwell as well as the equations of fluid dynamics have been used to investigate the hydromagnetic flow due to the transient motion of a plane. The expressions for the velocity and skin-friction have been derived for small values of time by using Laplace transform techniques. |
