Interpretation of pH measurements in concentrated electrolyte solutions |

| Abstract: | The residual electrode potential between dilute pH buffers and 0.725 molal NaCl was estimated to be ?3.2 mV. This result is consistent with the operational activity coefficient of the hydrogen ion in seawater. |
