| Abstract: | This paper discusses the possible error of the calculation of the atmospheric extinction coefficient by the Koschinieder visibility formula. An analysis of the problem shows that an error of 10% can be in-troduced in the measurement if the target used is a non-blackbody. By using the telephotometer as a tool of measurement, such an error can be markedly reduced. |
