Abstract:Aiming at the problem that some large-scale area feature data cannot effectively inspect the edge-matching without edge-matching lines,this paper proposes an edge inspection algorithm for area elements on the basis of analyzing the edge-matching principle and characteristics of area features and elaborates the key links of the algorithm.This paper uses ArcGIS Engine related components to implement the algorithm in the Visual Studio development environment to form an edge-matching inspection tool for area features.It also applies the developed tool to the checking of edge match for the vector diagrams of residential areas and vegetation in a certain area of Shaanxi Province.The practical result shows that the tool developed by the algorithm proposed in this paper can quickly and accurately find out the edge problems in the vector diagrams,reduce manual operation,and improve the operation efficiency.
