Abstract:This special issue of the comprehensive research on the earthquake disaster prevention consists of all project papers which deal with the seismicity, geology, aerophotos, stelae, historical file and others' works done before in the region around the Kangding-Luding active fault. This research project is supported by the Seismological Science Foundation. Based on both comprehensive analysis and computations to the data above, the earthquake disaster prediction and the emergency measures for strong earthquake are put forward. We think that all the project papers are useful for this region's economic development plan and seismological research on kangding-Luding active fault
